This publication was produced on the occasion of the exhibition “Hans Scheib” Museum für aktuelle Kunst – Sammlung Hurrle, Durbach (16.8. – 24.11.2013).
Hans Scheib’s sculptural oeuvre may be diverse in many respects but his style is unmistakable: the artist has always been guided by his own intuition – with constantly surprising results. Quite a number of his works originated against a mythological background and demonstrate the artist’s very personal interpretation. In particular, his more recent works are notable for their blend of colour, expressive and subtle expression and the aesthetics of the material.
Hans Scheib’s entire oeuvre of bronze sculptural work awaits discovery in this opulent, remastered and expanded publication.
